From 1988 to 1990, studied in State Musical College named after M.N. Ippolitov-Ivanov . In 1995. Graduated from the Moscow State Conservatoire, Class of Professor A.A.Loshak

From 1992 to 1998 he was Ю soloist with The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical theatre, in Moscow, where he plays the  parts of  Farlaf (⌠Ruslan and Ludmila■, Mikhail Glinka), Collin (⌠La Boheme■, Giacomo Puccini),  Don Ruy Gomez de Silva, Spain Grand (⌠Ernani■, Giuseppe Verdi),  Rene, The King of Provance (⌠Iolanta■, Piotr Tchaikovsky), Gremin (⌠Eugene Onegin■, Piotr Tchaikovsky),  Don Basilio (⌠Il Barbiere di Sivigli■, Gioacchino Rossini).

In 1998 he joined The State Academic Bolshoi Theatre where his repertoire includes Ramphis, High Priest of Egypt (⌠Aida■, Giuseppe Verdi), Maluta and Sobakin (⌠The Tzars Bride»■, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov), Polkan (⌠Golden cockerel■, Rimsky-Korsakov), Pimen and Varlaam (⌠Boris Godunov■, Modest Musorgsky), Khan Konchak (⌠Prince Igor■,  Alexsandr Borodin) etc.

From 1998 he is soloist of Helikon Opera (Moscow), where he plays the parts of Ramphis, High Priest of Egypt (⌠Aida■, Giuseppe Verdi), Dodon (⌠Golden cockerel■, Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov), Kochubei (⌠Mazeppa■, Piotr Tchaikovsky), Porgy (⌠Porgy and Bess■, Gershwin), Lindorf (⌠Les Contes d'Hoffmann■, Offenbach), Publio (⌠The Mercy of Tit■, Mozart), Zaccaria, High Priest of Jerusalem (⌠Nabucco■, Verdi), Banko (⌠Macbeth■, Verdi) etc.

мЕ is Ю Chaliapin Prizewinner, was awarded diploma at the II  Rachmaninov Competition (1997) and 4th prizewinner at the N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov Competition (1998).

From 2000 Mikhail Guzhov is one of the judges of Moscow Open Festival of Young Vocalists named after I.S.Kozlovsky.

Collaborates with conductors: G.N.Rozhdestvensky, M.V.Pletnev, E.F.Svetlanov, M.F.Ermler, V.K. Polyansky, V.A.Ponkin  etc.

Collaborates with Academic Russian folk orchestra under the conducting of the Laureate of State prize USSR, Honoured Artist, N.N.Nekrasov.

Guzhov  gave performances on a tour all over the world as an opera artist and a chamber singer. He participated in the European performances of ⌠The Aida■ together with the Ensemble of world scene stars under the direction of Severini in Strasburg, in ⌠The Eugene Onegin■ (Gremin) in Austrian (Zalzburg), Spanish (Santander) and French opera theaters.

In October, 2000 sang a party of Cardinal in the concert performance of Shnitke opera ⌠The Gezualdo■ in the Great Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

In April, 2001 performed a party of Agamemnon in the musical trilogy of Taneev ⌠The Oresteya■  in the concert under the direction of M. Pletnev at the Festival carried out in the honor of a centenary celebration of the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory (the Russian National Orchestra, Moscow Chamber Choir under the direction of Vladimir Minin, soloists of the leader opera theaters of the world).

In September, 2003 sang a party of  Baron in ⌠The Greedy Knight■ by  Rachmaninoff together with the State Academic under the direction of Valerij Polyanskij in of the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory of Music.

He also participated in the Sobinovsky Festival in (Saratov) in 2004 where performed Miller  in Dargomyzhsky▓s opera ⌠The Mermaid■.

He sings in oratorios in Russia as well as in abroad regularly (the 9th Symphony by Beethoven, ⌠The Stabat Mater■ and ⌠The Requiem■ by Dvorzhik , ⌠The  Mass■ by Rossini, ⌠The Messiah■ by Hendel, etc.) 

The special place in the activity of the singer occupy the solo concerts from the works of chamber & vocal repertoire (the cycles and separate opuses of Shubert, Tschaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Taneeyev, etc.) in the chamber halls of Conservatory ( ⌠To the paradise, where the saint Angels┘■ - the first concert of the Cycle ⌠From the chamber legacy of Taneev), 2000), Shuvalovsky Hall (1997), the Beethoven▓s Hall in the Bolshoi Theater (1996), the Museum of History (the solo concert ⌠ My Heart is a spring■ (April, 1 in 2001) and in the other Chamber halls of Moscow and Russia.

He participated in The Festival of Chamber German and Russian music. 

The singer also has a CD-records (operetta ⌠Moscow-Cheremushki■ by Shostakovich, opera ⌠The War and Peace■ by Prokofiev, ⌠The Knight■ by Rachmaninoff) and video & audio records of operas ⌠The Mercy of Tit■) by Mozart, ⌠The Nabucco■ by Verdi.
